Before practicing boxing, Jordan Mathieu played hockey for seven years and also occasionally played soccer. Despite his talent for both sports, he was a sore loser which was difficult in team sports. It was at the age of 11 that Jordan made his debut in boxing when one of his friend invited him to train with him and when he was 13 years old, he decided to stop team sports to focus on boxing only.
Jordan really enjoy boxing as he is passionate about physical conditioning and boxing is one of the most demanding sport on this level. He also likes that it is an individual sport where the performances depend on the athlete.
Jordan wishes to go to the 2020 or 2024 Olympic Games before making a transition toward professional boxing. Beside boxing, Jordan obtained his diploma at École Secondaire Pointe-aux-Trembles and is currently doing a DEP in cooking.
