BIOGRAPHY

Robert was 12 years old when he attended his first boxing class. His father saw an ad in a newspaper and thought that it would be good for Robert to be enrolled in a sport, outside of school. Couzens did not have a big interest in the sport of boxing, but that changed when he attended his first boxing class. From day one, he got hooked by the challenge that the sport presented and by the club’s atmosphere. What keeps him going back every day is the love that he developed for the process of bettering himself and becoming a better boxer, day by day.

Couzens is dreaming about representing the national team at the Olympics. In 10 years, he plans to keep on training hard and becoming a coach for the next generation of boxers. He wants to coach a national or even a future world champion. Robert went to Douglas College and graduated in Criminology.
