Montr\u00e9al - le 15 mai 2018.\u00c0 quelques jours du d\u00e9but de la comp\u00e9tition, Boxe Canada est fier d\u2019annoncer les boxeurs qui prendront part aux Championnats Continentaux de la Jeunesse 2018. Organis\u00e9e par l\u2019AMBC et USA Boxing, le championnat aura lieu du 20 au 26 mai 2018 \u00e0 Colorado Springs aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Les athl\u00e8tes canadiens sont pr\u00e9sentement en camps d\u2019entra\u00eenement au Centre National \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al afin de peaufiner leur pr\u00e9paration en vue de la comp\u00e9tition. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019ailleurs d\u2019une premi\u00e8re participation \u00e0 une comp\u00e9tition internationale pour la plupart des boxeurs de l\u2019\u00c9quipe Nationale Jeunesse. \u00ab Les Championnats Continentaux sont un tremplin vers les Championnats du monde de la Jeunesse, \u00bb affirme Daniel Tr\u00e9panier, Directeur Haute Performance de Boxe Canada. \u00ab Ces championnats permettront d\u2019exposer nos jeunes athl\u00e8tes \u00e0 une comp\u00e9tition internationale et il s\u2019agit d\u2019une belle opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019apprentissage pour se mesurer face \u00e0 des adversaires de haut calibre.\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Le contingent canadien sera accompagn\u00e9 par les entra\u00eeneurs Jo\u00e3o Carlos Barros, Sylvain Gagnon et Jill Perry.\u00a0 De plus, l\u2019officielle canadienne Nathalie Lacombe, poss\u00e9dant une certification AIBA 1-\u00e9toile, participera \u00e9galement au tournoi en tant que juge et arbitre.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

La pes\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale ainsi que le tirage au sort auront lieu le 21 mai 2018.
