Junior Petanqui started boxing at the age of 16. He has asked his mother for a 1-month membership to the boxing club for his birthday to have a physical activity to do with his friends. Initially, he wanted to learn self-defence but he rapidly fell in love with the sport.
Junior persevered in the sport despite the fact that his friends progressively abandoned. He was highly motivated and wanted to reach the top of his sport: become a World champion like the great boxers who marked history, such as Mohammed Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roy Jones Jr. An older man training at Junior’s first boxing club noticed his talent as he was training every day and wanted to help him get his first bout, which he won. He loved the experience and wanted more. Since this day, Junior continues to train even harder to reach his objectives.
What Junior loves the most about boxing is the art to hit without getting hit by his opponent. Moreover, he knows that with perseverance and hard work, anything is possible.
Beside his career as an athlete, Junior is currently finishing his collegial studies in Social Sciences and wishes to pursue a Bachelor in Business Administration. next week. In the next 10 years, he wants to be done with his studies, participate in the Olympic Games, become a professional boxer and have a family.
