Biography / Biographie | Chester won many awards that included Yukon Middleweight Champion from 1970 to 1979. Not only was Chester a successful boxer but he was also a successful coach. Â He coached the Whitehorse Boxing Club (1981-82) and coordinated all meets for those years. He also coached two athletes at the Canadian Senior Boxing Championships (silver and bronze) and coached a team at the Canadian Junior Boxing Championships (silver). Chester received the 1979 Yukon Male Athlete of the Year and 1980 and 1981 Yukon Coach of the Year.
| Chester a remporté de nombreux prix, dont celui de champion du Yukon des poids moyens de 1970 à 1979. Chester n’était pas seulement un boxeur accompli, il était aussi un entraîneur accompli.  Il a été l’entraîneur du Whitehorse Boxing Club (1981-82) et a coordonné toutes les rencontres pendant ces années. Il a également entraîné deux athlètes aux Championnats canadiens de boxe senior (argent et bronze) et une équipe aux Championnats canadiens de boxe junior (argent). Chester a reçu le prix de l’athlète masculin de l’année du Yukon en 1979 et celui de l’entraîneur de l’année du Yukon en 1980 et 1981. |
