Boxing Canada Announces the Selection of Members for the Officials Committee
Boxing Canada is proud to announce the members chosen to serve on its Officials Committee. The process benefitted from the high number of quality nominations received from across the country.
The selected members of the Officials Committee are (west to east):
- Jeff Verhoeven (Alberta)
- Jeff Laljee (British Columbia)
- Tommy Amaral (Ontario)- Committee Chair
- Natalie Lacomb (Quebec)
- Mike Summers (Newfoundland)
Boxing Canada extends its warmest thanks to the selected committee members. We are confident that they will provide valuable insights and leadership in shaping the future of officiating in our sport.
The Official’s Committee is tasked with multiple responsibilities including the development and implementation of officiating guidelines, educational programs for referees and judges, and the selection and deployment of officials to major tournaments and competitions.
