Boxing Canada announces the departure of Andréane Parent, who will conclude her role with the national organization on September 11, 2026, before joining the Fédération de Boxe Olympique du Québec (FQBO) as its new Events and Communications Specialist on September 14.

Andréane joined Boxing Canada in 2022 as a Special Projects Coordinator and quickly became an important contributor across many areas of the organization. During her time with Boxing Canada, she supported the High Performance programs, coach development, membership services and a wide range of national projects and events.

Among her many responsibilities, Andréane had the opportunity to manage two National Team development tours, helping athletes and coaches navigate the logistical and operational demands of international competition and training. She also brought a unique perspective to the national office through her own experience as an athlete. During her time with Boxing Canada, Andréane spent two periods working overseas in Thailand while pursuing her personal dream of competing professionally in Muay Thai.

Her transition to FQBO will allow Andréane to remain deeply engaged in the sport she is passionate about while bringing her considerable knowledge of national sport administration, events, communications and the athlete experience directly to the boxing community in Quebec.

Boxing Canada Executive Director Christopher Lindsay believes the move will ultimately benefit the entire Canadian boxing community.

“While we are sad Andréane is leaving, we are so proud of her growth and see the benefit to the boxing community for her to expand her skills and focus on the Quebec members. Andréane has made an important contribution to Boxing Canada, and we are very happy that she will continue to be part of our sport.”

For Boxing Canada Head Coach Vincent Auclair, Andréane’s experience as both a national-office staff member and active athlete provided an especially valuable perspective.

“Andréane’s unique perspective as a current HP athlete helped Boxing Canada in our goal of being focused on the athlete experience and supporting an athlete-centric culture. She brought an understanding of what athletes experience that was extremely valuable to our team, and she will leave a big gap behind.”

At FQBO, Executive Director Kenneth Piché is looking forward to having Andréane bring her national-level experience to the provincial organization.

“Bringing Andréane’s experiences in the national office to benefit the membership in Quebec is a great opportunity, and we look forward to having her directly support our mission to support Olympic-style boxing in the province of Quebec.”

Andréane’s final day with Boxing Canada will be September 11. Her final responsibilities with the national organization will include helping launch the annual U23 Assessment Camp at the National Training Centre and participating in exit interviews with Boxing Canada staff and a member of the NSO Board.

Although Andréane is moving from the national office to the provincial organization, Boxing Canada is pleased that she will remain an active member of the Canadian boxing community. Her new role will provide an opportunity to continue developing her professional skills while contributing directly to the growth and delivery of Olympic-style boxing in Quebec.

Boxing Canada thanks Andréane for her contributions over the past four years and wishes her every success in this next chapter.
