Age Categories
- How do I determine my age category?
- The age of the boxer is determined by their calendar year of birth
- What does that mean?
- Take the current year and subtract the year you were born. This is your boxing age
- If the current year is 2024, and you were born in 2000, your boxing age is 24 (category Elite)
- If the current year is 2024, and you were born in 2008, your boxing age is 16 (category U17)
- Take the current year and subtract the year you were born. This is your boxing age
- What does that mean?
- Can I “compete up” in an older category?
- Only 18 year olds may compete up in U23 or Elite. This should only be done under the guidance of a coach and an understanding of the level of competition
