Boxing Canada has made a significant update to the National Team Plan 2026:

• Updates to the A level of competition
  • More information was released concerning the Brazil and China World Cups
  • Minor changes have been made to the pre-camps
• Updates to the B level of competition!
  • World Boxing hasn’t published any information on the World Challenge series, so we have identified Gee Bee, Eindhoven, and Copa Americana events as our three additional B level events for the year (BoxAm was already identified)
  • More information is now available on the Continental Championships being held in Mexico
• Updates to the U19 International Events
  • Updates to the YOG qualifier
• The overall periodization for the senior athletes on the A and B level has been aligned to provide two combined camps in Montreal
• The “Peak” of the season remains the Elite Continental Championships and the U19 World Championships (still waiting for information on this event)

We have also updated our “spaghetti” chart that provides a visual overview of the NTP.

There will be a chance to ask questions about the NTP and related programming at the next monthly High Performance Update Meeting, scheduled for Jan 22, 7pm ET and Jan 23, 12pm ET.
