Several athletes faced very close decisions against strong international opponents today. National team coach Vincent sees BOXAM as step one in a season-long campaign: “This event is part of our long-term plan with a mix of experienced athletes and others gaining international exposure. We’re building on last year’s lessons around adapting our boxing to impress international judges. BOXAM is helping us identify the adjustments needed to beat different styles at this level.”

Athletes who are out of the competition will remain active with international sparring opportunities through the remainder of the tournament and will continue to support and cheer on their teammates still in the hunt for medals.
