Keoma Al-Ahmadieh Earns Silver at Boxam 2026 Following Hard-Fought Final Against Sanchin
La Nucía, Spain – 2026 — Canadian boxer Keoma Al-Ahmadieh capped off a strong international campaign with a silver medal finish at the Boxam 2026 International Tournament, after a closely contested bout against India’s Sanchin Siwach in the Elite Men’s 60kg final.
Al-Ahmadieh put together an impressive tournament run, navigating a deep and highly competitive field to reach the championship bout. In the final, he faced a skilled and experienced Sanchin, former Youth World Champion, engaging in a high-level contest that highlighted Al-Ahmadieh’s technical ability, composure, and distinctive style. After narrowly edging Sanchin three judges to two in the opening round, Sanchin was able to increase pressure and tied the fight at the end of the middle round. In the final round both athletes dug deep, attempting to leverage their talents against each other. The result of the final round was solidly for India, but the smiles on both athlete’s faces at the final bell showed that they were pleased with their respective efforts.
A full-time athlete at the Boxing Canada National Training Centre in Montreal, Al-Ahmadieh continues to train among Canada’s top elite boxers as he builds toward major championships. He also proudly represents his home club, The Corner, which has played a key role in his development and success.
“Boxam was a challenging tournament with top-level teams from India, Kazakstan, and Ukraine.” said Al-Ahmadieh. “Making the final against that level of opposition at the first competition of the year is a really positive sign. I’m proud of the work I put in and grateful for my coaches, my teammates at the National Training Centre, and everyone at The Corner who supports me.”
With Boxam 2026 now complete, Al-Ahmadieh remains firmly focused on the road ahead. He is preparing for the Commonwealth Games and the Continental Championships later this year, where he aims to continue refining his performance and challenging the world’s best.
“This tournament showed me exactly where I’m at and what I need to keep improving,” he added. “I’m motivated and excited for what’s coming next.”
Keoma Al-Ahmadieh’s silver medal performance at Boxam 2026 underscores his continued growth as an elite international competitor and signals strong momentum heading into the remainder of the season.
