Boxing Canada President Ryan O’Shea re-elected as World Boxing Vice President

Congratulations to President Ryan O’Shea on his re-election to the World Boxing role of Vice President.

Ryan O’Shea at 2025 World Boxing Congress

President O’Shea has served as Vice President since his initial election at the first World Boxing Congress in 2023.

The 2025 World Boxing Congress also saw the confirmation of two-time World Champion and Olympic Silver Medalists (Athens 2004) Gennadiy Golovkin from Kazakhstan. President Golovkin will serve a three year term.

Boxing Canada congratulates everyone elected, and those who weren’t elected, for their volunteering so much time to support Olympic-style Boxing around the world. The success of World Boxing in getting Boxing reestablished into the Olympic Program for 2028 was a phenomenal undertaking. With the amazing performances seen at the recent 2025 World Boxing World Championships, it is clear that Olympic-style Boxing is on a great trajectory for the future.
