For Immediate Release: Christopher Lindsay to join Boxing Canada as new Executive Director

Boxing Canada is excited to announce the hiring of Christopher Lindsay as the new Executive Director of
Boxing Canada effective May 1st, 2023. Christopher Lindsay brings a wealth of experience to our
organization, having previously worked with Own the Podium (OTP), where he played a pivotal role in
supporting several high-performance sport programs in Canada including Boxing. We are confident that
Christopher Lindsay’s leadership and high-performance expertise will continue to propel Boxing Canada
to new heights and contribute to the continued success of the sport in our country.

I also want to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Roy Halpin for his unwavering
dedication and outstanding service as the Executive Director of Boxing Canada for the past 10 years. Over the years, Roy has made significant contributions to our association and has been instrumental in
advancing the sport of boxing in Canada. Under Roy’s leadership, Boxing Canada has achieved
remarkable milestones and his tireless efforts, strategic vision, and commitment to excellence have left a
lasting impact on our organization and the boxing community in this country.

outstanding service and dedication to our association. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
At the same time, we extend a warm welcome to Christopher Lindsay as he assumes the role of Executive
