Coaching certification: Transfer of Qualification (NCCP)

Boxing Canada with the help of Coaching association of Canada is moving forward and will be doing the Transfer of Qualifications from the old NCCP (Level 1-2-3) to the current NCCP (Instructor Beginners, Competition Introduction, Competition Development) on March 22nd, 2019.

This means that, in The Locker, each status obtained through the old NCCP will be replaced with a status referring to the current programs.

  • View the Transfer of Qualification grid HERE

The document above is aimed to inform coaches with training and/or certification in the old NCCP of the transfer policy to the current NCCP. It will also help direct you towards the modules you would need to complete to achieve the required status in the current NCCP system.

Once the transfer has occurred, Maintenance of Certification will apply to all certified coaches. Coaches will have:

  • 5 years to obtain 10 points and maintain their boxing Instruction Beginners certification

OR

  • 5 years to obtain 20 points and maintain their boxing Competition Introduction certification

OR

  • 5 years to obtain 30 points and maintain their boxing Competition Development certification

Consult the Maintenance of Certification webpage for more information.
