Countdown to PanAm Games: Tammara Thibeault

Boxing Canada is pleased to finalize its countdown to tomorrow’s start of the 2023 Pan American Games boxing competition by profiling Canadian Boxing Team athlete Tammara (Tamm) Thibeault, representing Canada in the female 75kg weight division.

Originally from Shawinigan, Quebec, Tamm now resides in Montreal, Quebec and trains full-time at Boxing Canada’s National Training Centre at the Institut National du Sport du Quebec (INS).

Tamm’s favourite boxer is Shakur Stevenson, who believes the most important thing she has learned as a high-performance athlete is to “know your reason why.”

While Tamm has achieved numerous elite-level boxing results, she is most proud of becoming the female 75kg world champion in 2022. Outside of sport, Tamm is most proud of completing her bachelor’s degree in urban planning earlier this year.

Tamm’s favourite movie is Lilo and Stich, and the current wallpaper on her phone is a picture of her niece and herself.
