The Canadian Elite National Team had a successful first international competition of the 2022-23 season, racking up eight medals at the 2022 AMBC Continental Championships. The competition regrouped 193 athletes from 25 countries in Ecuador. The following athletes medalled for Canada:

66 kg Charlie Cavanagh

57 kg Keoma-Ali Al-Ahmadieh

63.5 kg Wyatt Sanford

92+ kg Jerome Feujio

 

This was the first competition on the Elite National Team for everyone except Tammara Thibeault and Wyatt Sanford. Charlie Cavanagh previously competed as part of the Youth team at the 2018 Youth Continental Championships, where she won a silver medal. The next competition will be the IBA Women’s World Championships in May.
