World Boxing just sent out the invitation to the YOG selection event in Thailand. The National Team Plan has been updated with he new information. Also included in the package from World Boxing was confirmation that the International Olympic Committee will not release the number of national start spots until May 2026.

 

This means that any athlete who wants to go to the Youth Olympic Games needs to understand that attending the YOG selection event in Thailand is necessary, but not sufficient, to go to the games. Canada may have as few as 2 start spots, or as many as 10.

 

A special YOG information session will be held Tuesday January 6th 7pm ET on Zoom for athletes and coaches and parents to get more information and ask questions.
