Team Canada claimed 10 victories over a total of 14 bouts against Poland (recap)

On January 26 & 28, Team Canada stepped into the ring against Poland as part of a Dual Match, an international Olympic-style boxing competition where various countries will be invited each year to challenge the Canadian delegation. For its 1st edition, Canada welcomed Poland.
After a week-long training camp, eight international bout were on the card for the 1st of 2 boxing events held at Club de Boxe de l'Est in Montreal. Here are the results:

Following their impressive bouts, 52 Kg Eder Clervoix and Jakub Slominski received the trophies for best boxers of the show, 60 Kg Luis Santana and Adrian Kowal were awarded the prize for the best bout.
The boxers had the opportunity for a rematch on Sunday January 28. Due to a few injuries, six bouts were on the card for the rematch and here are the results:

Overall, the first edition was a great success as Team Canada claimed 10 victories over a total of 14 bouts. It was a great preparatory event for the boxers who will take part in the 2018 Canadian Championships in March or the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in April.

Boxing Canada presents an International Olympic-style boxing event opposing Team Canada and Team Poland on Friday, January 26 at 7pm and on Sunday, January 28 at 1pm at the East Boxing Club.

 

Following a training camp, the boxers from both countries will face off as part of the Canada-Poland Dual Match, an annual event where a country will be invited each year to challenge the Canadian delegation.
